Redwood Mountain Faire ::
June 2 & 3, 2012
11:00am to 7:00pm
At Roaring Camp
5401 Graham Hill Road,
Felton, CA 95018
The Valley Women's Club of San Lorenzo Valley (www.vwcweb.org) started the
Faire in the early 1980's as a way to feature the talent of local artists
and artisans, and musicians, in a community event that would benefit
nonprofit organizations too. It was extraordinarily successful for 18 years,
and became the model for other festivals, including Strawberry. After a
hiatus of many years, the community wanted it back, so back it came in a
remarkable rebirth, at a beautiful new venue (Roaring Camp, thanks to
Georgie Clark), in June, 2010.
In a beautiful, expansive meadow graced with large oaks and surrounded by
enormous redwoods, the 2012 Faire, on June 2 and 3, will feature 20
bands on two stages
over two days. 50 or so fine artists and artisans will
be featured. Children will enjoy a variety of activities provided for their
entertainment. Delicious and unique foods will be available, along with beer
from local micro-breweries and Santa Cruz Mountain wines for tasting. It's a
very special event and was recognized last year by the State Assembly, and
by the County of Santa Cruz, for its contributions to the well-being of our
community.
Tickets will be available both locally (at Scarborough in Boulder Creek, Ben Lomond and Scotts Valley, Liberty Bank in Felton and Streetlight Records in Santa Cruz) and online through the Faire website (for no fee to the customer).
